Having a strong craving for fried chicken liver

I don't know why but I have a sudden craving for fried chicken liver. I actually had a desire for it since yesterday. I am thinking of going to my local Russian grocery store and getting some raw chicken liver to fry up for dinner. Not sure if hubby is gonna want it though. Maybe I should consider something else for him. Of course, my butt is glued to the couch and I can't get myself off the computer. If I don't get up now I will pee in my pants.

The French Fries sound a lot tastier than the chicken liver.

I know someone who ate liver raw when he was a student because he was too lazy to fry it.

@lovebuglena It's certainly not safe. Many people don't even eat fried liver. They say that the liver is a kind of filter in the body which means that it can be full of substances which aren't good for our bodies. I don't know if this is right or an exaggeration. I haven't eaten fried liver for a very long time although I like the taste. In Germany you eat it with mashed potatoes and a mixture of fried onions and fried slices of apples. It may sound strange but it is delicious.

@MALUSE I eat it with fried onions. Never heard of eating it with slices of apples but have ate it with mashed potatoes or even fried potatoes, sometimes even noodles.

I've never tried raw liver and not sure if it is safe to eat raw, mainly the chicken one.

We had chicken liver and gizzard the other day. It was cooked in vinegar and soy sauce, that is the dish that we call Adobo. It was not a hit in our home, meaning it was just an ordinary dish.

@lovebuglena Adobo is an original dish in our country so maybe that company borrowed the name of our dish.

@Alexandoy I made a mistake. It is a seasoning called Adobo. The company is Goya. I guess this is a specific blend used in the Adobo dish.

I thought Adobo was a spice company. Had no idea it was also a dish. I love gizzards and hearts stewed.

@sol_cee Definitely not raw garlic. I am ok with garlic powder and maybe garlic that's been fried. Usually I stay away from it though.

@lovebuglena So what do you put with your chicken livers?

I cover them lightly in flour and fry them up. Also fry up some onions and eat that together. So good!

@Hannihar I enjoy liver pate, especially with toasted bread. But I think I prefer fried liver more.

@lovebuglena Very nice. I have bought chicken livers at the store and fried them with onions. They were fine, but, I prefer chopped liver instead.

I went to the store but the chicken liver they had didn't look that great and it was a large container. I didn't buy it of course. Bummer! Instead, I got some ground beef and made beef cutlets (ground beef, fried onion, butter, and spices). It came out great. Still craving for that chicken liver though.
