Losing Weight

I know many here have talked about losing weight and have tried many different ways to do it. I would like to say that for some losing the weight is very easy, but, hard to keep off. For some losing and keeping off is very hard. One no matter what they do in order to lose weight need to be patient with themselves. It does not usually come off overnight. You have to work very hard at it and find ways you can do it and keep the weight off as well. Good luck to those wanting to lose weight. It is not easy and very hard task. Do not give up.

@amadeo Yes, losing weight is not easy. I used to be able to lose weight but not keeping it off when I went on diets. Now, I have found a different way so I hope to keep it off forever.

@Hannihar It is a lot easier losing it if you are on your own but when you have family that likes to eat, it is hard to stick to the diet.

@ramapo17 You are right with a family that eats and if you are the only one wanting to lose weight then it must be very hard for you.

People do these diets and they gain it back when they want food. Change the food for good and the weight won`t come back.

@andriaperry Andria, I found out that diets do not work. I learned giving up things forever and cutting down on sweets and eating less at mealtime. If you are not hungry do not eat. Drink more in between meals. Do not eat and exercise a lot and walk if you can. Also, people have to lose the weight only for themselves and only when they are ready to do it.

You are right it very difficult to follow any diet plan you choose to reduce your weight. The bigger problem is the weight lost by following most of these plans gets restored as soon as you leave the plan. in effect all the trouble you have taken to loose the weight is useless. The best thing is eat normally eat well never exceed the limits and exercise regularly.

@msdivkar I find diets are not the answer. I find giving up things that are not good at all for us and cutting down and I only eat two meals a day and do not eat in between meals anymore. I drink instead. That is not true what I have done is the right way for me. Everyone has to find their own journey. I found mine and for the last 2 years, almost 3 I have kept it off and plan on not gaining it again.

A person has to figure out what is best for her and not listening so much to those "crazy diets".

I have played with my weight lately. I am 145 pounds but I am trying to increase it to 150 because people say I look thin. I was 150 early last year but I trimmed down to 145 by July. This morning I weighed 149 pounds.

I lost 25 pounds when I cut out sugar, and it has been really tough keeping it off. I never thought I ate much sugar until I started to cut it out of my diet; that includes bread (The carbs in it turn to sugar, after all).

@AmbiePam That is great Amber. It is a real battle to keep weight off after we worked so hard to lose it. I worked very hard to get where I am today. For a long time I could not look at food and want it. Now, I can look at food and not be hungry. So true when you give up things you see how bad they were to us. I do not eat candy anymore or cookies. I do eat sweets but not like I once did.

@Hannihar Yes it was and here I am doing it again. When I lost it the last time I was working a few jobs and was so busy I never gained it back. Now I am retired for a few years and have been enjoying life. So here I am doing it again but these past 2 weeks I have started to exercise a lot more than I have the last couple of years.

@Hannihar I do not feel deprived. I did not tell you that I often drink two Slim Fast shakes and 3 snacks with a nice size meal. I know that many people are now going to tell me off on myLot about this diet. I like the diet, so if I like the diet, why not do it? What I still have are my mochas and cappuccino. Like I said, I do not deprive myself.
