I was on my own for the first part of the day, I do work good alone on the small stuff, the make it pretty part.
I had it lined up, paint the base boards black, glue them on place.
Hang 10 windows with new blinds, have to set new brackets, means drilling first.
Do a second coat of paint in 2 bedrooms, finish those floors.
What happened?
Hey! there is Angie... zoom zoom they come. Only one offering me help and I had just finished the paint of the boards outside, allowing them to dry, I did chat.
By time the third person came....I got nothing done! I left just to get away, went to the old place sat a few minutes and came back. Thank God the one repairman was there, he wanted to tell me stuff too, we keep secrets about people, lol. He already knows this one person stops every time I am there, he don`t care if we are working. The rest will stay away when he is there.
I loaded the scrap boards I wanted and a load of bricks that I can reuse, they came out of the wall by the new door. I did get the rest of one floor except one corner prepped before the repairman left, he got what he wanted done too. See we can talk and work or be quiet and work, I like that.
That is one hard working man, leave one job and come to another, I told him so too, whether anyone else does or not I let him know I appreciate him, he is a Godsend.
Tomorrow the water will be turned on, I got the landlady $10 for a week, done this morning. So the repairman can check his plumbing for any leaks, I pray there are not any.
I like talking to people, but they know I have a deadline.
How do you handle people like those?

@andriaperry I think of you when I look at my floors. Six thousand dollars to fix the front ones. The wooden deck needs some redoing. It just goes on.....

@andriaperry - just leave him in a room while you go to work in another. or have him take your place while you take a break. .. across town.

I tend to want to hide. I can work along side some, but not most.

Always so much to do. If I have to do something, I tell them; but I usually end up not wanting to be rude and listening.

I don't know how you could cope with that stress. If I had your talent, I could turn it into a handiman business, hiring quite a few handimen to help out with the booking; or buying old properties and renovating it, then re-sell them at a higher price...

Flipping houses costs money, so you have to have it to make it work.
