Just about once a week we have an accident , I am a corner house, so the intersection is right out my front door.
This time a car hit the neighbors house went into the fence, and lucky for the design of this house, the car didn't go inside the house.
We signed a petition, last year I believe, to get a four way stop instead of a two way , but nothing done. The city says it takes years and years to get this done.
They have come out to measure traffic on a holiday twice, when there is little to no traffic. Cars speed in and out of her, making this section extremely dangerous.
One person badly hurt in this wreck, and so very close to our home.

It takes years for such a thing to get done! That is terrible. It seems to me, but I know it will never happen, every intersection should at least have speed bumps so people will slow down.

They say if speed bumps it will slow the police dept and ambulance down. Just more excuses to not put them up.

Oh, it looks like there is a wrong design on your road. That needs to be corrected.

there is a two way stop, but needs to be a four way and speed bumps, to slow the cars down.

We all are, it is a regular thing, if I ever get the chance, I would never have another corner house again.

The people in that house are worried, as the driver that caused the accident, had no license or insurance. So they had to pay for the replacement fence, with their own funds.

Yes, a neighbor picked up the petition, I went around walking to get all signatures four or five pages, it was turned in , they say it will be years and years and years before it might get approved.
Now what usually happens, if someone drives without a license or insurance, they take off on foot, leave the scene.
The morning of the accident , a woman was letting her little boy cross the street by himself, which is not very smart and the cars almost struck him. She was crying and crying, because it was that close to where the boy was.

It's crazy how much red tape there is in such things. You would think a four way stop would be more of a priority

I know, a two way stop is simply not working.

In a town where I lived a few years ago residents wanted a crossing at a particular place as it was very busy and people had to wait ages to cross.
They did petitions and all sorts with no luck.
In the end they painted a crossing on the road and put up yellow flashing lights...drivers acted as if it was a real crossing and stopped for pedestrians...that's an absolutely true story.
maybe make the signs yourself and paint the road

Omg, , that had to do it themself, that is just very sad, cars speeding by all the time, It is actually hard to cross the street here, you must be very careful.
I think if someone made a sign here the city would take it down, what we need is a officer posted out here in the morning, to give citations.
