If a person has a couple of pimples, do you stare? How do you feel about them? What about a person who has acne?

No I don't stare. I am on a medication right now that seems to make me break out, not really bad but I have always had really good skin until now and I'm 27. Sometimes it does seems like everyone is looking at my skin. I hate it and try to cover it woth makeup, but it tends to look worse. I can't wait until next month when I can come off of the medication and get my skin back to normal. I don't feel any different about a person with acne than a person without.

I hate that. It seems like the areas where you have pimples are the areas that tend to get the dryest. Hope next month is better for you!

In your picture it looks like you have a great complection. What's your secret? Keep on not staring, it's the polite thing to do!

No I don't stare. Anyone can get acne. I use to get acne all the time and it sucked. I still get one or two here and there but not as bad

Great to hear that. It's really hard for younger kids, well for people overall. Some people are just so judgmental. You can't know until you yourself have experienced it.

absolutely not,i think it is rude, judging people by their appearance.if i am the person who has it,it is indeed insulting for me people staring at me.

You can't judge a person on there looks alone. No I do not stare because I was in the same boat growing up I hated acne but I guess for some people it is something they have to deal with. After I quit wearing makeup and washed my face more I quit getting pimples. I would tell them to try proactive because it works. My nieces friend had acne really bad and she used it and her acne cleared up in no time..

Good for your nieces friend. It's hard enough to be a kid sometimes. I wish that people could learn to be more accepting. I guess that's the hidden message in this topic. At least that's the conclusion I have come too. People can be so harsh and forget about feelings. We need to remember that some people are more sensitive than others.

i myself have pimples and its rude to stare firstly. and its not anyones fault that i or someone else has pimples. no one should stare or make a remark. yes claer skin looks good but that doesnot mean that the person has not longed for it.

Ya, good points. Clear skin is great to have and for someone that doesn't, we should treat them just the same. It's not fair to them that they have acne or pimples.

I think your right. People do feel bad that their complection isn't great. But I'm sure they try to focus on something else.

Well I don't stare because it would be rude and upsetting for the other person but actually I do have a "thing" about bad skin. I know it's wrong and I know people can't help it but it just freaks me out a little. I was in a restaurant yesterday and the waitress had a really bad skin and I could hardly eat my meal because of it. Stupid I know but there's nothing I can do about it.

I'm sure that those that have imperfections wish they didn't have them. It's just a part of life that happens.

No... I don't stare. In fact. I'll feel very uncomfortable looking at that, so I'll just turn away.

Turning away is not so bad. Unless you have made it obvious. Then they might take the wrong idea. Thanks for the input!

Ya. I especially hate it when you get one in the worse place possible. Like getting one on the tip of your nose. Oh man! Not only does it make you feel embarrased but it hurts!

no i don't stare at them because why should i, i really don't care if they have pimples or whatever on their faces because it's their face not mine. maybe i'll give advice if i know that person but if not i won't care:)it's their problem not mine, lol!

Some people are probably trying solutions that they think will work. I think that there should be better treatment out there. I think that they are almost like an infection, you should probably treat it from the inside. But the medicine that would get rid of acne and pimples would probably be expensive.

To stare at anyone is not only rude but makes the one being stared at uncomfortable...most times it ends up making the starer uncomfortable also. People with complexions with issues are still people under that skin. They also have hopes and dreams just like you or I. I'll admit I am bad about offering solutions though...when I have what I feel is good information I can't help myself I NEED to share. I had a young man as a friend who has Psoriasis and to me it sometimes looked painful, I was always asking him if it hurt, and seeking ways to aleviate pain he did not have. LOL! Guess it's the mother hen in me. I have had friends who were burn victims, friends who were in terrible accidents with the resultant scarring. My only concern is whether or not it was painful for them. I don't care what a person looks like on the outside. Inside is what counts for me.

That was really thoughtful and extremly sweet of you. I can see that you have a kind heart. At least from the two responses that I have gotten from you. I'm sure that your friend knew that you meant well. I'm sure he may have got annoyed but knew your intentions. Yay for the person inside all the superficial skin that surrounds our body.

No, of course I dont. It's just rude to stare at people no matter the reasons are. Everyone can get pimples, it's not a big deal. Even I have some pimples sometimes. I dont have any reasons to stare at others. Cheers!

Great remark. Staring overall is just plain rude. Sometimes I can't help myself when someone is wearing an interesting outfit. That's just one staring incident. Sometimes I daydream and that could be interpretted as staring.

if i see somebody with a bad acne problem, of course ill stare but only for a few sec then ill try not to stare again. it's bad enough that he/she has to go through looking like that but for people to stare? lets just mind our own business. :)

Thank you! I think that it is quite enough that they are or might be concious about thier face, we don't need to add to this by staring or making fun or even perhaps pointing.

A lot of people get pimples or acne and it's most often not an issue of hygiene, I don't stare because it's no big deal. There is so many other things to see beyond skin, like eyes and lips.

I don't think it's hygiene either. You could wash your face in the morning and evening and still get pimples. I'm such a beliver of beauty is what you make of it.

No I don't look at them. If they like I could give them some advices on how to take care of their skin and avoid those irritating pimples or acnes. I don't have a pimple but I think I have some black heads so I am not really perfect. No ones perfect as you can see. Nice thread hope you'll get a lot of replies :)

i hate to stare at people and i hate people who stare at me. i think it's something that would make the person u stare at feel unconfortable. i know i feel that way when someone else stares at me and i really don't want to make people feel unconfortable around me.
