IRON DINOSAUR of LA CARLOTA CITY. My early Monday morning walk is caught by this relic of CAC working locomotive no. 105 which is conspicuously displayed at the entrance of the city of La Carlota at the right side along the national high way (Gurrea Street) from the town of San Enrique heading east. It's approximately 87 years old. This locomotive no. 105 is one of the steam-driven trains in Central Azucarera de La Carlota that picked up and transported cut sugar canes from a nearby sugarcane fields to be milled at the CAC mill site. This locomotive is very instrumental in bringing the municipality of La Carlota to her economic growth as far as sugar industry is concerned . This is one of substantial reasons why La Carlota was converted into one of the component cities in the province of Negros Occidental sometime in 1965 by virtue of Republic Act 4585. Good morning my friends. May your Monday be a productive one. Good bless.

@Nakitakona They do have new trains running the tracks in the Philippines though. Haven't rode one but I heard from friends who did that the trains are very comfortable with a lot of amenities.

Nope. It's already dilapidated. It's only for display.

Oh wow you have preserved that iconic train to symbolize your place. I think it is good that you preserved that part of your history in your place and showcase them to anyone who visits your place.
