Do you reuse or recycle old items?

A lot of household rubbish goes to a landfill facility or to a recycling plant but if you have something which is simply worn out or broken would you find another use for it or would you buy a new product? Would you throw away a cracked mirror, for example, or would you find another use for the frame? My wife is a great reuser of broken things (I'm her second husband 
) and won't throw anything away if she sees another possible use for it. Not only does this save money but it helps the planet a little by saving something for further use instead of buying again.

We always use things up until they're not usable anymore. We find alternate uses for items when we can and donate what we can.

Everything eventually gets so worn out or damaged that there is no choice but to bin it
