In January, I finished reading a book I started in December and read five more books, one of which I finished a few days ago. This brings my total for 2020 to six books so far.
I took out five more books from the library today: The Mermaid's Voice Returns in This One by Amanda Lovelace (poetry), Night Thoughts by Wallace Shawn (essays), French Leave by Anna Gavalda (a novel), Be With Me Always by Randon Billings Noble (essays), I Love You So Mochi by Sarah Kuhn (a YA novel).
I have three weeks to finish them before they have to be returned. All the books, aside from I Love You So Mochi, are fairly short so I should have no problem finishing them all, as long as I sit down and read. Can't wait to dive in.
What interesting books are you reading now?

I haven't been in a reading mindset; so I'm not reading anything right now.

Not sure if they all fall under interesting but my current books are The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling, and Getting Started with Dwarf Fortress by Peter Tyson... Which is mostly for refreshing my memory on how to play the game.

Nice books! I have not read those. I remember gifting my nephew the Harry Potter series box set. It was on his wish list for his birthday some years ago. I was at his house a few days ago and saw the books in the box. Only one looked like it was read. The others seem untouched. Wonder why. If he requested that series for his birthday I'd think he'd wanna read it all.

@lovebuglena It is possible he could still be planning to read them down the road. I haven't finished the series myself, but that is mostly because they are great books to read when I am sick and I tend to reserve them for those times.
I remember Mists of Avalon being a pretty big thing when it came out and I saw people everywhere reading it and recommending it. I am not quick to get on the bandwagon when it comes to reading what is considered popular. I have only just started on that one. And I would be very surprised if you have read the Dwarf Fortress one... or even played or heard of the game for that matter. XD

Wow! How are you able to finish so many books in such a short time. The latest one I listened to was Goodbye Things by Fumio Sasaki.

Three books were poetry books and those are quick reads.
