This is one of my favorite songs. It's about a woman who is just trying to make a living for herself, to get out of the area she is living and to move to the city with her boyfriend. She thinks she can make a life with him, but she finds in time that he is similar to her own father.
This song was released in 1988.
Have you heard it?

I need to listen to Give Me One Reason. I am sure I've heard it before, but I don't remember it by name.

Not a favorite of mine but it's definitely not a bad song.
My favorite is picture by kid rock ft sheryl crow. But thats because its my song with my daughter. Besides that, I'd say i have alot. Right now one is five more minutes by scotty mccreery. Its sad but good.

@ScribbledAdNauseum sorry to hear that. I dont think i know that one though. The last song he did before dying, heavy, makes me cry. But also because of my own depression.

@Courtlynn Yeah, I'll admit I wouldn't know about that song if my friend hadn't gotten the album and played it for me.

I am not sure if I've ever listened to any of her other song. I think Fast Car was one of her more popular ones.

I reviewed a Tracy Chapman CD recently. It had "One Reason" on it that's another one of her hits. I like "Fast Car". I have a lot of favorite tunes.

Wow, I never comprehended why he never got a job until now.. I never looked at it that way. So repeating the negative cycle.

@m_audrey6788 I used to think that it it described me a little bit. This was back a long time ago, when I first wanted to leave the nest.
