This story is so wonderful to show us that the world is not so evil as the news media paints out to be. Two weeks ago Logan Fontanelle Middle School in Bellevue Nebraska school teacher Trey Payne had his prized Nike basketball sneakers stolen from his classroom. Trey was sad that someone would stoop so low to steal something hat means the world to him like his basketball sneakers. The students in his classroom were moved by the heartbreak that Trey was going through by pooling their money to buy Trey a new pair pf basketball sneakers to give it to him as a gift. When Trey was given his gift of new sneakers, he broke down and cried since he realized that the lessons he is teaching his students came home in a good way. My advice to the person who stole Trey's sneakers, repent of doing these kinds of evil deeds since karma will get you one day. It is nice to see that relations between teachers and students working with each other is alive and well around the world.

It is rare for this kind of story getting reported since the only time teachers make the news is if they beat up a student for misbehaving or getting beat up by a student.

I agree with you since teachers get a bad image from the media when they either beat up a student for misbehaving or making love to them.

That is a wonderful thing his students did for him. Thieves are rarely remorseful, but it would be nice if this one was.

That was nice that the his class made an effort to correct the situation and got it as a chance to show their appreciation to their beloved teacher. I think I can relate to that since I have both parents as teachers and my wife is also a teacher too. I know how hard they work with little or no appreciation from the student they teach. It is rare to have a batch that will do such effort to make their teachers feel appreciated. I know they may not be asking for it but when they are given they appreciate them very much.

That is true since many people when they become adults in find work in their field outside of show business do thank their teachers.

I do not blame the teacher for crying since he felt that his lessons are finally getting his students to admire him.

I felt his tears of joy since he like myself are wondering if doing what is right will bear good deeds from the readers or students.
