Do you pay bills immediately or wait for the deadline?

Paying bills is one of our monthly routine. Delay or stop paying then you will be cut from the service. And whether we are satisfied or not on what we get, we can only rant about that since our complaint will not be heard as is. Sometimes, I'll wait for the deadline before paying but in most cases it's better to be prompt.

Yes, some consideration is given especially if the budget is a bit tight.

If I have the funds for it then I pay immediately so that I would not be bothered to pay on deadline. But if the amount is a bit bigger then I have to wait for my salary to come before I can pay them.

@ZedSmart True you need to make adjustment to pay them basing from what you receive from your salary.

That depends on the financial situation. However, I prefer to pay well in advance if I have money in hand.

It would be a good practice if we pay in advance so that we will not be tempted to use the money with other things.

@ZedSmart That is part of it, but another thing is that my internet bill never appears prior to the payment date!

Nice. It's convenient doing so as you have just one place to go.

@ZedSmart I don´t go anywhere. The Bank pays it and sends me a note that it is paid by email. That last part used to be by regular mail but I opted not to use paper.

@marguicha Yes, especially nowadays that most of everything can be done electronically.

Most of my bills are paid by direct debit now so they come out of my account automatically at the right time.

@sprite1950 That is true. They're happy to collect interest and penalty for that.

It does depend on what I have available. I do try to pay before the deadline. But it really does depend on a few different things.

Yes, I can relate about that. I have few experience when I have some incidental expenses and I need to use what is intended for that particular bill.

I pay close to the due date. I would rather earn interest on my money than them.

That is good. If no reason to pay late then we can do that right away.
