This I Do Not Understand.

Anything to do with thyroid, I cannot really understand. I got the result of the T4 and TSH test of my husband. The T4 is within normal range and TSH is a bit higher than normal. As I research, when you have high TSH and low T4, most probably it is hypothyroidism. Is that right? Also the ultrasound result suggested to consider cystitis and adenomamyotosis. Anyway, I will be setting up a new doctor's appointment next week. Do you have idea on this?

It doesn't do any good to self-diagnose. Research it if you wish - and that's a good thing - but it's not much use worrying till you can see your doctor.

Thyroid is responsible how we metabolize our body. When you have a Hypothryroidism it literally means that your metabolism is very slow that is why your become fat easily since your body cannot process all that you take in your body. Whereas when you have hyper it is the opposite where you will super active metabolism that your are drained to the point that you become thin for no reason at all.

I am sorry, I do not have a lot of knowledge about thryroidism. However, I would suggest you search about Iodine and how it might be helpful fro those with thyroid problems.

I guess it is best to ask the medical people. I don't know much about thyroid regulation or any of that, but somebody on here might!

I just got my blood work results for my thyroid today! Everything was fine, thank God. My mom's thyroid was bad. At first we had no idea. One day she called and said for me to come by because she thought her hair was falling out. That was on a Monday. On wensday she called again crying. By the time I showed up Friday majority of her hair had fallen off in chunks and they never grew back. If it runs in your family go get some blood work done
