Good afternoon, our weather here now is cloudy and very cold, that is why I cook seashell, or we called it here TAHONG. It's good to eat for a cold weather. It's very long time ago the last time that I cook TAHONG. So when I go to the market this morning and I saw TAHONG I buy for 1 kilo it's worth 50 pesos or 1 dollars. We can eat this all for sure. Let's eat

@resukill22 Do you mean the cost of mussels? It's about $6 per kilo.

I ate tahong not long ago but it was ginataang tahong(mussels cooked in coconut milk). My sister-in-law cooked and it was really good. It was a bit spicy and I couldn't taste the coconut milk much.

The ginger in that recipe would be a good relief for colds. I love the soup of those green mussels. Have you tried adding 1 little sprite or 7up after you saute in ginger onions and garlic?

Mussels are very expensive seafood cuisines in some part of Europe as well as in other Western countries. We as Filipinos are very lucky because it is readily available and the prices over here compared overseas is way cheap. Thanks for your post.
