I am not afraid of the dark, I am afraid of what is in the dark. When I sit in the dark... I know I'm ok but in the dark I can't see what's coming for me. I fear they are going to come back. I know it's not possible, I know they can never hurt me again but in the dark the fear gets the best of me. I feel that in the darkness anything can happen, someone will hurt me again. My past haunts me. I need the light, the light will save me, nobody can get me in the light. One day I will be un-afraid, one day I will trust the darkness and one day I will forget the past... When I'm old and my mind fails to remember... Only then will I forget. ~Stephanie Sue~
