Cozy spot in the house

A couple of months ago we got an armchair from ikea for the living room. We placed it next to the large living room window and it's sunny and warm in the mornings, my favorite place to enjoy my coffee. It has become the most relaxing and cozy spot for me, especially during the cold days of winter. What is your favorite spot in your home?

That definitely sounds cozy. I like to sit near a window as well, but my absolute favorite place is just in bed.

When I was thinking about my favorite spot, I admit that the bed was my second favorite too!

@besweet Yes, I wanted to go back to sleep today since I woke up at 6:30, but I can't do that.

@ScribbledAdNauseum The weekend is here, it will be great to wake up late and stay in bed for some time relaxing.

Pallet sofa
The little joys in life :) What are you looking out towards from your window? The favourite spot in our house for me has become our home-made pallet sofa.. it's just 6 pallets with an old futon and some cushions on top, but suprisingly comfy!

It looks nice! I wanted to make a diy sofa with pallets a few years ago but never had the chance to complete it. I imagine that it's even more personal and cozy spot when you do it yourself! We have city view from the window and a little sea on the side, but the orientation of our furniture is towards the city. This is your dog in the picture?

@Onthemountain The view is nice, especially at night with the city lights. The dog must enjoy your cozy spot also. They are good family dogs right? My grandparents had one and he was great with hunting. And very playful with us as kids.

@besweet Thanks! It is temporary, until we can afford a 'proper' sofa, but I like it :) I bet the view towards the city is great, there must be all sorts to look at! Yes - this was the best picture I could find of the sofa, but it was actually a photo of the dogs. We have two working springer spaniels - best dogs I've ever had!

That sounds like a wonderful place to be for coffee! I love sitting on our lanai for coffee.

This must be wonderful also! I miss having an outdoor area, this apartment has only windows.

@besweet I also enjoy sitting at my desk and looking out the window, too.

My recliner is pretty comfortable although I spend most time in an office chair in our study.

Recliners are great, it will be on my list for the future. It's good that you enjoy sitting at your office since you spend more time there.

Recliners are the best, but if we had one I am sure it would always be occupied by the man of the house. It sounds very comfortable!

Near the windows here there are drafts so I wouldn't want a chair right up against them.

It's better to stay away from windows if there are cold drafts. It's so easy to catch a cold from that.
