No Valentine for Me

Tonight, I am going to a Valentine party at our church. I think there is a movie and some refreshments. There are some heart decorations on the table.
That is good but I don't have a Valentine. Do you have someone who is your Valentine or just memories?
If you don't have a love to go with, do you go anyway or just stay home?

I'm glad you could go somewhere and have your own version of fun. My husband and I stopped celebrating Valentines a couple of years after we started dating. We celebrate our love every day, not when the greedy retailers tell us to We refuse to feed the monster!

I would go to a function like that because there would be a lot of people to have fun with together. Otherwise, I stay at home, which is what I did yesterday. It's been a long time since I've celebrated Valentine's Day and my husband was severely lacking in the romance department. He never gave me anything for Valentine's Day.

I don't have to worry as far as Valentine's date is concerned. I have my permanent Valentine's date, my wife.

My fiance didn't even say Happy Valentine's Day to me. But it's ok since he is trying to come down for my birthday. I stayed at home. I had a headache anyway. I gave Lily (my cat) a treat and two new litter boxes.

@Shivram59 There is no time limit on grief. It does get better, though. When I lost my daughter, I was a puddle of goo for a long time.

@akalinus Many many thanks. Many many hugs. I know you feel our pain.My mother is in a state of unbearable shock. My father is almost senseless.I don't know what to do .It will take us a long time to recover from the shock and recollect ourselves.
