I dont know if this is also happens in your married life. First and foremost, the one you expected to greet first at your birthday would be your wife. On the contrary, it did not happened. I was waiting until that early morning on that day to hear my wife greet me but, there was none.
For me, it was impossible she forgot because she is good in remembering birthdays with other close friends and relatives of ours - how she could forgot mine? As I went out to buy something, she texted me with the greetings. This is the first time that happened in all of our entire years living together. It's better this way to minimize more arguments - as what she texted me. She said, she intentionally did that way because she could not forget all of what Ive done to her even those long years passed. She could not forget though we already had an amicable settlement on that issue. As a punishment, she deprived me of the "Happy Birthday" that supposedly I would hear from her for me....This my unforgettable moment of all of my birthdays happened..

Well I also think it would be for something you did that did not give you your happy birthday, I think they should talk and solve to avoid future grudges ..
