My answer would be simply no I cannot spent a day without being in a cold place for some time in my city, since it is hot here,I cannot imagine going to a place like this. I find it hard to imagine anyone staying in a place like this. So my friends would you like to live in a desert? If so,which one?

I live in the Chihuahuan desert which spans Mexico, Texas and New Mexico but it is not as desolate as the picture you have posted

I have discovered that I only want to live in my house. I can go elsewhere for holidays though.

Maybe a desert will be a good option for the trip?

@KityCat I have been to a desert and it is really fun for a day or two. I can't say anything about long duration

That photo looks like it came from a Western movie. I live in sagebrush country. For a summer month or two we typically don't have rain.

@KityCat We have a city here in Israel that was very much a desert and not it is a beautiful city. I like living in Jerusalem so will have to say no to living there,

Deserts are very dry, without water we won't last long. The body will start shutting down soon after a while. If I was HAD to live in the desert for a day, only a day, with supplies. I will. Provided I get picked up by a helicopter or something. Deserts get seriously cold during the night, it might be easier than the heat, but no less uncomfortable. I'll also have to be on the lookout for snakes or scorpions.
