Spring is springing I think

I took this shot sometime in the 2010s it was early morning with the sun shining through the blossoms.

Yeah, I really think it is but we'll also get a cold day here and there until around mid April. Now I know that my idea of cold might not be what you think of as cold but for this desert during the day 40s and 50s Fahrenheit are considered cold by those of us you have lived here most of their lives. At night, well more like the wee hours of the morn, it can sometimes drop into the single digits but even that is very rare and few of us are ever really prepared for that here. Well, I'm closing this post with a little humor, hope you enjoy:

That would be a heatwave here. We got 50s last year for a couple of days. The sudden snowmelt caused flooding that didn't recede for many months. Enjoy your weather. We're on the cold end of the spectrum. It's dipping down to subzero tonight.

Yikes, I don't think I'd like it where you are except in summer.

Maybe late spring would be better there @just4him I know some areas have what I would consider cold spring temps, is WI one of them?

@rebelann I'm sure summer is the only time you would like Wisconsin, except maybe for the humidity.

Whales? That doesn't sound like any polar bears I've read about @nanette64

@rebelann And did you hear about Antarctica? They had temps in the 60's. The Polar Bears have had to figure out a new way to get their food since the ice is depleting. They swim out onto rocks and wait for whales to come close; then dive in to get them.

As I recall from my desert vacations, it’s always cool in the morning. The flowers bloom in Connecticut the first week of April, but it can be chilly into May. Brrrr

Not always. In the summer it might not drop below 80f at night which is no fun trying to sleep in.

I've been told that my region doesn't drop that low like it does in parts of AZ or Utah @DianneN

You’re right@rebelann. I’ve only been to deserts in February and only in Arizona and the Sahara. We can’t sleep unless the temp is 66 or below at night. We have to keep the a/c on or neither of can get a good night’s rest.

I used to complain about it being cold here until I came on myLot. Some people here really have 'cold'. To me, anything under 10C is starting to get chilly.

Same here. Many residents start wearing winter boots and coats when it gets down into 10cs, thankfully it doesn't get much colder than that on the average

Yeah, during the cold months of late December through April it can get way cold in the wee hours of the morn.

Gosh, I certainly hope you are right. It was in the 50s this weekend and I was loving it, especially since the sun also made an appearance. Cannot wait for spring to get here for good.

It's going to get cold at least one or two more days over the next few weeks then by April we'll start seeing it get really warm.
