Love is the most wonderful thing that exist on earth but sometimes it hurts too. And when it hurts it is very difficult to overcome that. How did you heal from your heartbreak ?

I've had more broken hearts than I can remember, I know it's a cliche but time is a great healer. In the meantime, bore your friends to tears by talking about it, cry buckets, eat ice cream/chocolate and try to keep busy.

I’ve never experienced heartbreak from love, but caused a lot in my heyday. I’ve been blessed.

I had my heart broken when my husband had an affair. It drove me to depression. I cried and cried but then he told me that it didn’t mean anything and we got back together. I guess I just have to accept it.

It's given in any relationship that you will experienced heartache regardless if it's a natural form of heartache (passing away) or infidelity. Investing yourself in a relationship means that you also signed up to in the latter would experienced such whether you like it or not. But regardless, just spend your time wisely about the relationship and when things go south, Try to be more open about the situation and move on from it. Yes, it's not that easy but you need to move forward because life is so much greater. Thanks for sharing.

@PreciousChela You burn it to ashes for real...love stays in the heart, the mind just process the feelings......What is amazing is,the brain can boot up those feelings(i form of memories) any time in life

@PreciousChela First of all Welcome to My Lot. It has been a long time since I had a broken heart. I guess I just had to let it heal and then move on.

@PreciousChela Yes, healing does take time. Good idea to find the right person to move on with and the go backwards.

I should say it took me so long to really get over a heartbreak. I realize now that the thing that made it so hard was my negative thinking and lack of self belief. Once I learnt to train myself to think positively and actually move on, things became easier. It takes time to master, that's why people say time heals.
