Did it. I found a pair of shoes that will do. Sounds simple. Isn't. My feet are wide. Then there's the matter of the bunion and the high arch. So yeah Walmart shoes are more than not going to do for my feet. I found a small shop in the small town where I go to Water Aerobics. Its not my kind of shop and its not my kind of shoe. The shop is a gym that also sells athletic clothing, including shoes. Shoes for runners. My body is not made for running. But something to think about: runners need support and cushioning when they pound that pavement with their fast feet. I need support and cushioning with my slow feet. Perfect match. The bill for the shoes was not pretty but my toes no longer smash into each other when I walk. Relief. The photo is my pretty boy Beau Teak. He was enjoying some sunshine this afternoon. I intruded by snapping his photo.

Your Beau Teak looks so much like my little Pooka, May she Rest In Peace. I am very happy you found the perfect shoes for your tootsies. If our feet hurt, the rest of our bodies hurt,

@DianneN Our sweet ones have made our lives richer. One of the hardships for me when I move will be leaving behind what I call the Bast grove. Godiva and Samyot lie there in peace, freed of cancer.

@DianneN My condolences for Pooka. I admit to being smitten with the Siamese tribe. I sprung Beau out of our local animal shelter and now he leads a hard life, hassling my husband.

@sallypup Thanks. I have a too long list of past pests. Even little Pooka came from a shelter. She hassled no one but our dog.

That is a wonderful photo of Beau Teak. Glad you found a pair of shoes. That was my biggest problem when I lived in Latvia all the shoes I could afford seemed to not fit right and the rest were too expensive. Now in Florida I have a bunch of Crocs in various colors.

@RasmaSandra I've never tried Crocs though I know they are popular. It hurts when the toes are crowded.

I’m glad you bought new shoes. Your toes bunching you when you walk wasn’t good. Walmart shoes are junk! I have a really high arch too. My kids are both flat footed.

@shaggin Thanks and good to hear from you. These shoes are forcing me to walk better so now my feet hurt from that. Just can't win but I must keep on. I'm sorry for your kids.

I usually buy Clarks shoes, they give me the support I need especially since I walk often on concrete and without the proper support I end up with a really bad back ache.

Good shoes are difficult to find sometimes. When I find them and they fit well, I buy 2 pairs! The photo is lovely.

@sallypup You never know if the company will keep making this shoe. Sometimes they change the design completely and doesn't fit the same.

That's good you've found some comfortable shoes. Nothing worse than having feet that hurt all the time.

@andriaperry A doc told me that I have flat feet. I hate it when my toe nails dig into the nearest toes. Hurts and makes it not fun to walk.

Pretty cat. I have to spend more to get shoes that fit me too. But it's worth it.

That's true about running shoes. I have a pair that are like slippers on my feet. They have so much cushioning and feel so lightweight. And I am not a jogger/runner but do use them for walking.
