We Aren't Moving To Georgia

It's funny how fast things can change. Not long ago, my brother and I were talking about moving to Georgia. Well, the company he is now working for has offered him a position in Cincinnati, Ohio. It's $20,000.00 more a year than he is making now.
We have gone over the pros and cons and figured it out. Because of my insurance which is Medicaid, we are going to move right on the border of Kentucky and Ohio. That way we are still in Kentucky and I can still see my current doctors. It would only be around 20-30 minutes to his job in Ohio.
We would have to be there by April 1st. I'm excited for him but sad to leave the apartment and Bella's memories. But, I do have her ashes so she will always be with us. It's just going to be hard to leave but its probably best for me to be in a different place.

Moving is such a hassle but at least you'll be able to continue with your doctors, etc. Wishing you lots of luck with your move and the new place.

@simone10 I'm so sorry, you know I did not mean to make you cry. You have had enough of that.
I just want you to know that if you go and you move, your memories, those precious timeless moments that you hold very near and dear to your heart, those are portable, and they WILL go with you.
And you can leave the painful reminders behind. Nothing more, nothing less.

You have put good thought into this. Glad this company values him enough to make that offer.

I know that area, Covington is right across the river from Cincinnati, It is a nice area I am sure you will be able to find a nice apartment. I wish I lived closer so I could help you move, I know that you are dreaded the packing.

That is just what will finally help you get over the hurdle of grieving getting away to a new place and being able to start fresh. Good luck with your move.

Moving is always a headache, even when you're excited to be going someplace new. But it sounds like you have a good compromise that allows you to make the move, yet still have some of the comforts you enjoyed in your old place. It's nice that you'll be able to keep your current doctors.
