I am pretty sure the answer will be "Yes" but I'm still going to ask anyway. But you guys can see where I'm from right? You can see that I'm from "Perth, Australia" ?
The reason I ask, and please don't think I'm complaining, is because quite often I get asked where I am from. But I have made my location known.
I'm just confused on why I have been asked quite often when I can see that my location is showing. It's visible for me. Shouldn't it be visible to everyone else? 
Again, please don't think I'm mocking anyone! It just reminds me of when I try to sell things online. You put down everything that needs to be known, but still get asked for information. 
Is that what's happening here in regards to my location or is there something I don't understand? Is it only visible to some? Have I made a mistake in my Settings?

Duh! It's obvious where you're from, because you write in an Australian accent. Anybody should plainly see that! LOL
JJ is right in his comments, and I do believe that's why many people ask, but I also have another theory. I think it's because some myLotters lie about where they're from, and put down a false location in their profile. I'm sure some do it for safety reasons, for fear that people knowing where they truly live might somehow make them less safe; or maybe they are ashamed of where they live; or maybe they just want to seem better than they are by putting down a fancy location. I don't know, the reasons could be endless, but many myLotters won't list their real location.

Yes I can see it where you are from perfectly so no worries no frets.
I don´t bother much with the settings really before it kept putting Los Arcos when really its called and known as La Ribera.

i once tried mylotting on my phone and noticed that in the responses and comments, the country doesn't show next to the name. i can't remember, though, if i was logged in or not at that time.
however, i also notice, not just here but elsewhere online, that there will always be people who don't really pay attention, again and again. part of human nature.

That is true and I've considered that as being a reason. I know that can happen so maybe that is why some do end up asking me. Thank you for answering.

@Courtlynn I've definitely considered that. I also take into account if the person is new and doesn't realise the location is right next to our names. But I do wonder for those who have been here for quite a long time and know that we can put locations next to our names and still don't see it. It's just a tad confusing to me.
