Is your writing colorful?

This is a double meaning question! In the literal way, when I am writing or commenting at work I like to use different colors. It helps me group the comments and it's easier for the team to follow. In that way, my writing is very colorful! In the metaphorical way, I think my writing isn't as colorful. Some people have the talent to make their writing lively and fresh and interesting.

I don't know how to describe my writing. Sometimes I use figurative speech when I am in the mood and at other times I am just straightforward so it is easy to understand.

It depends on the mood I agree. Some people are consistent with good writing though, I assume they might be writing professionally also.

@Alexandoy Yes professional writers are great with it, for the rest of us it's not that easy I guess.

Can't say about the metamorphical way. I think others would be judge for that. But my notebook is a colorful one. I use colors to highlight.

I enjoy using colors also! There is another colleagu at work who is doing the same and it's so fun when I have the chance to work with her. Are you categorizing your notes by color or you just like to write with different inks and highlighters?

I think my way of presenting things is more colourful than the way I write. That is why I don't really like to write down my thoughts when I know a documentary will be made or somebody comes to interview me about a certain theme. The first interview I have given was the worst and also because I have written down my ideas.

@besweet I don't think my laptop supports such an app. Presenting something is much more than just the words, it is much more than that. And it can be adjusted according to the feedback you instantly give. So, I don't know if it can be transcribed. I was the same as you, probably even worse. But I have overcome this problem.

That's a very interesting point! Did you try the voice text app for your posts here? I found out recently and it's really helpful. If you have a talent in presentation you can include it here also without actually writing. For me it's the opposite. My presentation skills are the worst , not because I don't know what to say but because I get stressed. So writing everything down is my best option.

I like colour so use it a lot in my work notebook. I think colour makes things stand out, so if I'm writing notes for students I always use it. As for metaphorically? I shall leave that to the judgement of others!

Typing is how we write most right? I am writing on paper a lot at work, handwriting is fun for me actually. We spend most of the day at the computer or on the phone and we will forget how to write eventually.

@besweet Indeed that’s why sometimes I write on my ipad. I don’t understand why my handwriting keeps changing.

I think with some practice it can be done, eapecially if you enjoy writing. It depends on the mood too right? I used to be able to write better but without practice it'a not easy for me anymore.

Practice will bring improvement for sure. It is positive that you are trying! I am not a colorful writer either, only when I literally write with colored ink!

I think using colors is a little personal for each one of us. I have been using colorful pens since I was little, and always had some strange colors like orange or purple pens.

Everyone has a personal writing style, and very often it's unique. Do you think people can recognize your writing style without knowing that it's yours? I think I might be able to recognize some mylotters here but it would be a nice challenge.
