How does it feels like having your own home?

I’ve always been living in rented houses then at 16 my mom had her own house which she got from the government with credit facilities. I didn’t live much in that house since my mom asked me not to. I lived with my aunt and then I got married and now I live in a joined family. Honestly I don’t know how it’s like but I’m sure it must be nice. Do you have your own house or do you rent? How does it feels like living in your own house?

It's nice to have a home of your own where no one can tell you what to do and you have space. I am not really keen about renting, although there are some advantages. I have seen some nice apartments, but if I ever rented again, it would simply be on a temporary basis.

I agree. Living with joined family is not very nice. You don’t have freedom to do anything.

I have got my own flat besides I have got a traditional house, Built by my father and is under renovation where I can stay without any problem. But it is great to stay in your own house or flat than stay in a rented house. I wish you all the best to get one of yours soon.

@BabeSays That is bad of your mother. No mother can do that for her own son.

@msdivkar Indeed everyone asks me if she is my biological mother. Unfortunately she is. Even my father couldn’t bear her. He left.

Awww that’s so sweet of you. I’m wishing and hoping the same. Having freedom is your house must be ana amazing feeling. I do own a house which my father gave me. But my mother doesn’t let me stay or even enter the house. She want to get marry and she doesn’t like having me in her life. I can’t wait till one day I’ll have my own house. I don’t like living in joined family anymore.

I dream to have my own house, Presntly, Im living with my in laws,it was okay okay at first but later i find it so annoying since there are things that we can't do while we can if it is our own house. It must be comftable to have one.

100 percent agree. That’s how I’m living. I live with my in laws. I have to spend my entire day inside my bedroom (12 x 12) My fridge, microwave all is in my bedroom. My bedroom is my dining room, kitchen, my bedroom all in one. Like you’ve said when I was newly wedded everyday was okay then things started to change. I’m really looking forward to move from this house and own my own home. Where I’ll be free to do anything I want.

I have my own house. And it definitely feels good. You feel like owning the place and also a sense of financial security is there.

That’s great. Not owning a house I can tell I don’t have freedom to do anything.

I've always rented and I've never lived completely alone. I think the longest time I've spent on my own was a few days when other people were away. I wouldn't mind owning my own house but I've accepted that it's unlikely to ever happen.

Before we acquired our home in 2001 thru a bank loan, we were renting for many years. Now our home is fully paid so we have peace of mind when it comes the house.

Indeed plus having your own home is peace of mind. Being able to do whatever you want is a great feeling. I like having freedom in my house but unfortunately this isn’t mine so I’m also looking forward for owning my own house.

Own house :) Well, if you have your own house, you can do some improvements anytime you'd like. Moreover, you will have more peace of mind
