Good morning! I'm on my second cup of coffee and just starting on myLot. I wasn't on here a lot yesterday. I've been binge-watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix. It's one of my favorite shows on TV and I love the original characters of Meredith, Alex, Izzy, George, Christina, and Derrick. It's fun to go back to the very beginning.
For Christmas, my brother bought me a DNA kit because I've been asking for one for a couple of years. I haven't used it yet because I keep forgetting so I have it sitting on the table next to me. I just have to remember that I can't eat or drink 30 minutes beforehand. I've always been told that on my mother's side I am Irish and Dutch and on my father's side I am English and French. I'm curious to know if it's all true.
What nationality are you? Have you ever used a DNA kit?

It will be interesting to see what the DNA kit says.
I've never used one. I'm mostly French with a mix of Belgian, Irish, French Canadian, and Native American. I'm French and Irish from my mother. It would be interesting to see what a DNA kit would show me.

Our son received a kit a couple of years ago as a Christmas gift.
It took him a long time to be able to complete the test, he reaches for a drink of water too and you cannot do that and do the test.
He was a little disappointed with the way that the results were presented. It was a bit too vague for what he was seeking, although from what we know it was very accurate.

@simone10 sort of, I bought 5 kits for 99 bucks, 4 days later they dropped the price to 59 forever, never mentioned a rebate for us.
but the results were as expected.

I wasn't on here much yesterday either. I babysat and then had things I needed to do so I popped on before bed to keep a post knowing I would have more time today to be here since I don't have to babysit. I'm watching Riverdale now the third season and while I loved the first and second season I don't like this third at all.
I would love to have a DNA test done to see what is on my father's side. My aunt did a huge family tree book on my mother's side of the family so I know all about that or would if I read it all . On my mother's side I am Irish, German and native American.

People call me and my siblings Japanese or Chinese because of our eyes. We are pure Filipino.

I haven't used a DNA kit but from what I know I'm mostly Irish.
Let us know if you get the results from your DNA kit and how it measures up to what you thought you were/are

That would be interesting to know. No, I don´t have that kind of DNA kit.
As far as I can remember, my grandmother was a half Spaniards and my grandfather was a native Filipino. I am a mix of Filipino with Spanish and native Filipino ancestors.
