Ryan Seacrest on Live was discussing how he lost his puppy temporarily in NYC..he was freaking out of course, but the dog was found a few minutes later under a car in front of their building. It reminds me of the time I lost my dog at Niagara Falls. He was with us on this trip, and slipped his collar..it was very crowded as it was during the summer, but what I was really concerned about was that he might somehow get under or over the barrier and end up going over the falls. Fortunately, we caught up to him..and carried him around the rest of the day.

@LadyDuck Nico has gotten shut in the bathroom a few times. I heard him meowing, but I thought he was under the bed or something.

@snowy22315 My neighbor could not find Bubi (the cat) one evening. They asked me, but Bubi was not with me. I went with them searching, he was still a very young cat. We heard him meow from a closed garage, he surely went inside and was closed inside by mistake. I was so relieved when we got him out.

I am so glad you caught up to him in time. Please tell me that Ryan Seacrest's dog is ok or not.

That is really funny! That reminds me of the dog that had an incident with the car, and ran to the vets office..What a smart dog, most run the other way when you take them to the vet.

Oh brother, I wonder what made her get in another car?.one dog I had got out in OC and ran across 6 lanes of traffic. You never know what those critters will do.Fortunately, he was fine. I had to rehome that particular dog though..he wouldn't listen worth beans.Even Nico listens more than that dog did.

@snowy22315 I think she jumped out and then realized she didn't know where she was and panicked.

One time friend and I were taking a ferry across the Delaware Bay and I wasn't sure if he was on or off. We must not have had cellphones with us. I don't know why we didn't call each other.

I think a harness is really best for walking. They can get out of a collar if they really want to. A couple of other times, my dog gave me a fright.

I'm npt a dog person. But I did lose a cat. He's still missing. He's a friendly cat so I'm thinking someone got him. I still have Lily though.

I had a terrible experience that i almost lose my dog when my home's gate was accidentally opened by my cousin. She thought that the gate was closed. Good thing our dog knows the ways here in my neighborhood and we found him right nearby the guard house. Thanks for sharing!

@snowy22315 I could never fathom losing my pet in that way. I'd rather lose them in health reasons that having them missing. Thanks for your response.
