For those of you that are married or know married people. What is the age difference between them? Also, do you think age is a very important thing in marriage?

When the age difference between men and women appears to be constant, this is based on the average age of men and women at the time of marriage. However, this average does not necessarily reflect the age differences in individual marriages.
Examples:
Example A: Man 31 Woman 29 = difference: 2 years
Man 29 Woman 25 = difference: 4 years i.e. average age difference: 3 years
Example B: Man 35 Woman 25 = difference: 10 years
Man 25 Woman 29 = difference: - 4 years i.e. average age difference: 3 years
In example A, the average age for men is 30, women 27 and the average age difference is 3 years. The average age in example B is the same, but here the man is much older than the woman, but in the other couple the woman is older than the man. Stable average age differences can thus conceal major changes in the direction of a greater variation: more older men who are marrying younger women – and vice versa: more women marrying younger men.

Age was an important factor in the olden times. But since the advent of love marriages, it has lost its significance completely!

I don't believe that age matters when you are getting older as long as you are both on the same page ..
BTW my husband is three years younger than I am

It doesn't have to be important, my grandparents were 24 years apart in age and were very happy together. I think personality and compatibility are far more important than age. Most couples I know are within 7 or 8 years apart, my husband and I are 5 years apart.

My husband and I are 3 years apart in age. I think when you are younger ages makes more of a difference. We have some friends that are 22 and 30 and they are in different stages of life. He wants to settle down with kids and she is still developing and finding herslef, her career etc. I think once you are both established age doesn't matter as much but when one is established and one isn't...I think that could create problems.

My husband & I are 10 years apart. It is what is inside that counts!
