39 Looks Okay

So today is my 39th birthday, and it has been nice so far. My wonderful dad brought breakfast to me this morning, which was just the sweetest thing. @Gardengerty I tried my second new church this morning, and I liked it better than the last one. Some may remember I usually go to the church my dad pastors, but he has tried to get me to try others, with more people my age.
This church actually didn't have a lot of people my age, but they were so friendly and kind it didn't matter. I went with a friend of mine who was also looking for a new church. This church was pastored by one of my dad's best friends. The singing and the sermon really resonated with me.
We'll probably try a few more, but this was a pleasant surprise. My friend took me to eat Mexican food after church, and she had a few presents for me, which included flamingo paraphernalia, as I love it!
She had to go a few places otherwise, so I went with her. Right now, I'm tuckered. I didn't sleep much, and I am sure a lot of you can relate. I have had various happy birthday texts and phone calls, which I appreciate.

I hope you continue being blessed on your birthday. A Very Happy Birthday. I'm glad you enjoyed the new church and the service resonated with you and you found the people friendly. If it was me, that would tell me that's where I belong. You got fed.

I am pretty sure I'll go back by myself, but I'm really trying to get my friend in church consistently, so I said I'd try out others too. It's a 30 minute drive to that church, and I think my friend wants something closer. Her schedule (she's a nurse) is nuts, so she likes later services, while I am just fine with early services. The church I went to this morning started at 10am, which I thought was perfect. Meanwhile she got to bed very late after work, and was still trying to wake up this morning.
I am so glad I went, and I look forward to going again.

Happy birthday to you. You are the same age as me, although I am a few months older. Sounds like you've had a good day. I will always remember my 39th birthday as it was the day I got married. Very much looking forward to sharing my 40th birthday with my 1st anniversary later this year.
