Coronavirus..Should We Be Worried?

I follow Steve Lookner on 'Agenda-Free TV' on YouTube so I often get to see his live broadcasts. At the moment he's a bit obsessed about Coronavirus but the way I see it..he's keeping the world informed, not just the US, so I have no issue with it. That said..should we be worried about Coronavirus? Personally, I'm quite philosophical about it. When my anxiety was at its height a couple of years ago I'd be extremely worried but now..not so much. The drugs DO work, at least in my case. However, Mum has COPD but she stopped smoking after Dad died in October 2015. She is 73 years old and HAS to go out daily, mainly for her newspaper and a few supplies nearby. She won't be happy if public transport is ever restricted in her Town (as some of her shopping she does up there but I do think she'd accept it especially since she has Lucifer (Lucy for short), a new cat to look after. I also think that the Chinese killing their pets (as some blame them for the virus) is not helpful at all. I hope that ridiculous mentality doesn't spread to other countries. Is it true that 37% of Americans are banning drinking Corona Beer because they think there is a link to the virus? I believe face masks are a waste of time too..and panic buying. If people weren't prone to this kind of behaviour then I reckon we'd be informed even more by the 'Powers that Be' as I do think there is some secrecy surrounding it. Because they don't want to panic folk the information they give out is very sparse to say the least. Thank God for Steve Lookner! So, what's your take on the situation? If you are into buying masks and stocking up on food what's your reasoning for doing so? Are you worried about elderly relatives? Keep safe people!

Awareness would be okay but being worried is unnecessary to avoid getting panicked. It is good that you have enough info about how you can avoid getting it. Traveling less would help and avoiding crowded places too. Staying fit and practice good hygiene habits would help a lot in getting it as well.

You should be worried but just be vigilant and follow the hygiene protocol so you won't get infected.

We have no more elderly relatives, we are elder enough ourselves. Panicking brings no where, we wash often our hands (as we always did) and continue our life as usual.
