Thursday morning is sunny and warm, the weather is changing and there are only a couple of months left before the heat & humidity waves start.
Yesterday at work, the second half of the day was super busy and I couldn't finish my tasks before the end of day. Today is the week's end for me and the work needs to be done, it's going to be a demanding day.
In the evening I have skype date with my friend and we are looking foward to share our news. I have missed so many moments since moving out of the country, her baby is turning 1 in a few days and she is planning a party for him.
Do you have any friends living abroad that you wish you could see more often?
How is your plan for today?

@LadyDuck I wonder also how did it start in Italy, the cases in Europe were isolated and suddenly I started reading the news about the hundrends of cases there. We also had today a group of people returning from Israel, they are all infectead and now they are quarantined.
I am sending my sincere wishes for your family to be safe. As per the data, children and adults up to 29 years old are usually not affected. Hope your niece is in that age group.

@besweet I am also surprised that there are so many cases in Italy, it is so weird. My niece is working from home, my brother is a doctor, he retired three months ago and they called him back because there are not enough doctors in the hospitals.

Most of my friends are living abroad. I have learned to deal with the situation.
No real plan for today, just a regular Thursday.

@besweet I only see them once or twice per year. That is when they come home. Life is just like this, earning opportunities are better abroad.

@rappeter13 It's much much better abroad, the insecurity is less and the job opportunities match our qualifications. Back home, the employers are taking advantage of young people with motivation to work, they pay very low salaries and have too many expectations. Is it the same in your place or things are better?

The reason for my Facebook account is to keep in touch with friends and relatives who are abroad.

I do keep in touch, I use other apps with video calls too because my friends aren't so active on facebook. Texting is not enough for me unfortunately, I have missed all the important moments of their lives this year, like the birth of her baby, weddings, birthdays and more.

@Alexandoy All of these are similar, the difference is in my place some apps are blocked. Does facebook support video calls?

Work didn't finish because more things came up. That happens all the time so it's fine.
My friend had some very funny moments to share and I had the chance to see her beautiful baby. We will resume tomorrow though because the baby had other plans and it was a short call.

All my friends live in the USA, but I’ve met people abroad on my travels and stay in touch with them.
It’s a hot day here, but we have beautiful breezes coming off the water.
Skype is a great way to keep in touch with friends and family.

I have a brother in eastern Europe. I miss his face. And my nieces. Thank goodness for social media and the internet. :)

@Poppylicious I understand the difficulties, travelling needs a lot of planning. If he has a family there it will be even harder. My brother makes a schedule for himself only and he still didn't have time to visit us.

@besweet We probably see him once every couple of years. We're not too far {England} but Life tends to make planning and organisation of visiting quite difficult!
