Heart Attack

My chest (under the Sternum) has been hurting for about a month so I've been taking an aspirin a couple of times a day for it to stop. I ran out of aspirin on Saturday so when I went into my pharmacy on Tuesday to pick up a lot of my other meds, I grabbed a bottle of aspirin (since my SS check finally showed up).
I was dizzy and my chest was killing me; so I asked the girls to open the bottle of aspirin and get me some water (since I was hanging onto the counter to keep from fainting). It took 20 minutes but I was okay.
I saw the doctor this morning and he did an EKG and apparently I've had a heart attack within the last 2 years (since that was the last EKG that I had and it was fine.)
He's sending me to Jacksonville, Tx (which is about an hour or so from my place) to get a specialized test but in the mean time, he ordered some Metoprolol Succinate Er and some Nitroglycerin tablets to deal with the continuing chest pains.
Gee; I wonder if I will make it to my BD at the end of April.

@LadyDuck I'm just mad because I can't do all the things I use to do because of the physical disabilities. Just cleaning the house is a pain in the butt.

Sometimes when I go to bed at night I tell myself, "Please don't wake up." @LadyDuck

@CarolDM He wants me to have some specialized heart tests done. I'm really pissed at him because he just moved his office from being only 3 miles from me to 45 miles away.

@nanette64 Maybe you need to see your doctor again. If you take meds, it should be normal. The dosage has to be adjusted sometimes.

I'm just glad it wasn't a "knock me down, in the hospital" one @marguicha .

Yeah; my Momma lived to be 77, my Dad 88 and my daughter said I should live to be 99 (all double digits). I told her to lay off the Scotch; she was nuts. LMAO.

@nanette64 I'm sorry to hear that. I would be like a bear with a sore head if I were in chronic pain.

Yeah, it came as a surprise @Courtlynn ; that's for sure. Considering all my blood work came back normal except for the HDL (cholesterol), who would have thought.
