So how about some jewellery made out of teeth?

Perth, Australia
March 5, 2020 3:26pm CST
I saw this on Facebook maybe more than a year ago. I saved it because I wanted to know your thoughts about it. Better late than never. I had never seen anything like this before. I have seen this new ( well new to me ) trend where parents will glue their child's / children's teeth to plush toys. But before this photo, I'd never known of people making jewellery out of their loved ones teeth. Loved ones who have passed on I mean. I don't really have many thoughts besides, if it's something someone wants to do, it's not really hurting anyone. I'd personally rather not do it though. Have you seen this before? What are your thoughts?

I have never seen or heard anything about this before, and to me it is quite disgusting. Well, maybe disgusting's not the word I'm looking for, but it is not something that tickles my fancy, that's for sure!

@moffittjc I have the same feeling, they are surely not healthy teeth, you can see the black caused by cavities, it is sickening.

Jeff, I think that disgusting is the right word to describe those creepy things.

This is fascinating, gross, cool, and weird. I have no inclination to wear something like in the picture, but what an idea to make a tooth into a ring.

@AmbiePam I feel kinda the same like you. It's different that's for sure! Not something I'd personally want to do though. But that's just me.

@VivaLaDani13 I saw a show called " Oddities", and one guy had a bracelet made of kidney stones. Not all of them were even his. I give a total pass on that.

I find this horrible and creepy. I did not even want to see the wisdom tooth that my dentist removed.

@VivaLaDani13 Not all people have wisdom teeth, I had all the four, the last one that the dentist pulled out was a real pain and it caused me an infection, horrible!!!

@LadyDuck Oh dear! I hear they can be painful too! I've never had them and apparently I don't have them which confused me. I really thought we all had them. I have no wisdom.

Ok, I'll say it . . . that's really kinda weird ! If I had that, knowing me, I'd lose it just as I have lost some gems on other rings . . . can't replace a tooth from a loved one that has passed .

@much2say oh boy! Yeah you are right! Losing something like that I think would be hard for people who were keeping it for remembrance!

@porwest I've heard of animals being stuffed and I don't know about it. I don't really have a thought except I think it would freak me out. What's worse to me is ( and keep in mind I don't if this still happens ) but when people used to have their loved ones embalmed to keep him / her around the house or take photos with. That makes me feel uncomfortable.
