Hello, I'm Erin and I am totally new here and a little bit unsure of how it all works.
Now yes the premise is easy make a discussion earn some cash. Reply to people earn some cash.
I get that but how exactly does it work. So I have to admit as much as I love to talk and share random stuff and facts about my life which I've noticed some people do on here almost treated a bit like Facebook except it's paid which is really cool.
I love to talk to people you will soon see by the sheer amount of text I often write. Which can overwhelm people. I am a chatty person SORRY but it's just how I am. Which actually might make me rather a good fit for a site like this!
So how much do you make roughly per discussion and replies. Do discussions make you more money or is it all about replies on others discussions. If I create a discussion and reply to others on my own discussion would that net me the same as If I'd been replying to someone else's post on here.
Sorry for lot's of questions I probably could google this and some how find it out but I want to also interact with you guys. Yes earning a small amount of cash because I'm under no illusion that this site pays well. But it's a nice little bonus you know for getting to talk away til my hearts content. I'm here because it's fun to talk and getting paid for it is even better and it'd be a lie if I said I'm here purely for socialising because if that was the case I'd spend my days on every other larger social platform out there like Twitter and my blogs. Which I do but hey one can never have too many socials and interactions...right?
Well maybe not in my case! It probably drains some people...then again I do have Bipolar and BPD so sometimes being overly talkative is a side effect of either of those two conditions. ( I can be a bit scatterbrained, all over the place and forgetful so IF I do forget to reply to people on this site or disappear for days at a time this is just me being an idiot or I am likely mentally unwell and needed a break).
I do endeavor though to get to chat to as many of you as possible because why not isn't this what the site is all about!

Any particular discussion could earn you nothing at all or it could earn you a dollar or more. It all depends on how many people interact with it (by reading, responding and commenting, &c). The important thing to remember is that you don't earn anything at all for what YOU do here until someone else interacts with it sin some way. What you earn is based on the views, responses and comments you receive from others, not on anything you do yourself.
The best way to encourage others to interact with you is, of course, to interact with other people a lot in a meaningful and - hopefully - intelligent way. It's just like making good conversation, really, the more that you listen to and respond to others, the more likely it is that they'll want to listen to and respond to you.
You should also take time to read the Guidelines and the other pages listed under "Help" (in the menu beneath your username).

Ah thank you. Yes I think I got a little bit confused by an earlier discussion I had read and I misinterpreted it.
I have read the FAQ on money making and because it said about earning money from discussions you make and responses you make in general. So the confusion then came in on well if I reply to someone else does that give me income or not.
But now I get it and now i absolutely get that other users outrage because not only have they wasted their time and been rudely ignored BUT they also didn't get any money in return for their time given. So it's like a double slap in the face oh and that person though did earn for their comment as it's an interaction for them I guess.
That's cool I love to talk as I said and I really enjoy interacting with others especially on topics I'm similarly interested in currently or on things I could learn more about that seem pretty interesting but are new concepts to me!
I think I am going to enjoy this site a lot then because I get to interact with others which I really actually enjoy doing in the Facebook groups I'm in as well as my blogs and other sites I use.
And of course as I said I would be lying if I didnt say the money was also a nice bonus for basically being ME and doing things I already do else where without the bonus of this monetary incentive.

I see that you already received precise and exhaustive replies to your questions.
I confirm that the best way to enjoy myLot is to encourage the others to interact. When you type interesting comments, people come back to you and this generates earnings.

@Erinnn41 I think you have understood perfectly the spirit of the site. The important is to chat and keep the discussions alive. The earnings are low, but it is nice to receive a little money simply to discuss and learn from other cultures and from people from around the world.

@LadyDuck Yes definitely! I'm always interested in learning about other cultures and just getting to chat to a much wider range of people than exist in my tiny town in England.
I live quite remote as well to be honest ( I live on old farmland in an old cottage with my partner parents and brother) It is very nice being some where surrounded by nature and with my many rescued animals but sometimes you want a bit more than just that!
And I'm a bit of an introvert at times so chatting online is much more preferred than extremely draining social interactions that go on for hours and hours especially when it's in a place with big crowds or too much noise.
I used to be able to handle that and love it when I was at University but now I enjoy smaller gatherings and more quiet activities.

Yeah.. what JJ said.
As it doesn't matter what you do, but what others do to interact with you. Like this response.

Thank you
Yeah I'm getting the hang of it all now at first I spent about 5 minutes typing out a response FOUR times only for it to NOT post turns out you have to confirm your email before you can post.
Which thinking about it makes sense but usually a site will have a pop up or a bit saying please confirm email and I don't think this did so I didn't think about oh yes must go confirm right now which is my bad!

@resukill22 Thank you it's almost lunchtime here and today so far has gone good. I've not got as much done as I'd hoped given nearly half the working day is done. Other than that though I'm pretty well. It's very cold here despite some sunlight shining through my windows.
I hope you have a good day/have had a good day so far.

@Pandy_ Aww nice
Yeah although he does like to get me panda cuddlies/plushies and so does my family so now I have a whole array of panda plushies. Actually he gets me quite a lot of plushies.
He's recently ordered me a surprise gift actually because I've been a bit down bless him he's so thoughtful. He's been really good as of late handling mood swings my mental health has been a bit up and down. He is very understanding ( most of the time we all have our moments!).
If I am honest I love most animals I dont know how though that pandas became this like big obsession for me haha. Although my partner who loves trash pandas aka racoons got me loving them now we went to a sanctuary for mostly birds but they took in some racoons and to raise money they allow you to go in and feed them and man they are freaking adorable.
Their personalities are so cheeky trying to grab the whole pot we had of grapes and stuff and their tiny little grabby hands and one of them rolled on her side so I could give her more belly rubs ugh I want to go back to see them again but it was whilst we were down in Cornwall on holiday/visiting his Uncle. So it's a bit far as I'm nearer London.
