Hi everyone. I'd just want to share my sweetheart's hobby. He was a farmer and at his age he should be enjoying his retirement by now. But he said to me "once a farmer, forever a farmer". He said farming is nourishing to soul. So, while we are waiting to our turkey farm, I let him do some backyard gardening. How about you guys? What nourishes your soul?

Those are lovely plants! He sure is a GreenThumb! Yeah such hobby definitely nourishes one's soul. It's also a great way to commune with nature because you are making the world more greener. Thanks for sharing!

This is great when I was younger I had a few pots filled with tomatoes and cucumbers and even a tray for lettuces. I remember just how enjoyable it was me and my parents actually plan to get a greenhouse put up in our field at some point. We live on what used to be part of an old farm/farm land. But for years we've just had my pony in the field now she's older though we were told she didn't need the whole field and actually shouldn't have it all because of risk of laminitus as she'll just gorge herself without any understanding of eating too much. I am going to really enjoy it and it'll be a nice activity to do with my parents and I think when my granddad moves into the annex they are helping build for him he'll enjoy it too as his garden at his place now was his pride and joy he had tomatoes growing and flowers and such. For me I find right now what I do that nourishes my soul is writing or taking part in any sort of crafting artsy activity my parents and I used to paint pottery that was relaxing. Now sometimes it's too noisy or busy for me and my mum and sometimes noise can set off her non epileptic seizures. But I have lots of crafty stuff here she used to do oil painting so we got her last christmas or two ago a set of oil paints brushes and she dug out her old art easel. I have tried my hand at lots of different crafts I enjoyed crocheting and want to get back into it very therapeutic actually. I also make jewellery only basic stuff again enjoyable. I used to draw with pencil and paper not anymore though but that was fun for a time. I used to also do decoupage layered cards again much enjoyed that too! I recently got a machine called a silhouette curio so no doubt I'll be using that for lots of new craft ideas and to sell them too! because hey why not make some money out of what you enjoy plus I cant just stock pile all my creations we already have run out of windowsill space in our living room with all our painted pottery pieces!

My grandparents are the same, they love to work in the garden and in the orchard. This is what keeps their spirits up.

very nice looking plants. I love gardening. I raise vegetables and flowers for the house. Often I give plants away to people who might like to have them.
