Day 217 Promise 287 Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. 11 For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. (KJV) Most people want to live good long productive lives. They want their lives to be meaningful. Solomon showed there is only one way to accomplish a long meaningful life – trust in God. Many Christians wander aimlessly believing they’ve gotten hold of the good life, but fail to do anything about their lives after they accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. Jesus put those who trust Him in four categories. Matthew 13:18 Hear ye, therefore, the parable of the sower. 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside. 20 But he who received the seed into stony places, the same is he who hears the word, and anon with joy receives it; 21 Yet hath he not roots in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, by and by he is offended. 22 He also who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23 But he who received seed into the good ground is he who hears the word, and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Being a Christian is hard because you have so much against you. Satan comes against you with everything he can to break your faith and turn you back to the world. John 10:10 The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. Don’t let the thief, Satan, destroy your faith. Spend time with God daily, reading His Word, talking to Him as a friend, praying, trusting, and believing that every promise He made, is yours. When you do, Satan won’t have a chance of separating you from God’s love. Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, “For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Who are you trusting? In what do you put your faith? Is it what you can see, touch, taste, hear, or smell? Or is your faith founded on Jesus Christ? When you do as Solomon said, and put your trust in God, He will bless you with long life. Let’s pray: Father, let my life be honorable to You in everything I do, say, and think. Let nothing separate me from Your love. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 10 March 2020 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay. Only topic-related comments accepted.

Thanks for the wonderful reading and I do believe that the actual wisdom starts when we as a human being start fearing God. Its only fear which keeps us obedient and sincere to the best practices and it is very much necessary.

If by fear, you mean reverence for God, which is the meaning of fear in the Bible, you are correct. It all starts there. Have a blessed day. You're welcome.

@just4him Yes, I meant exactly that, one should fear God for he can do the justice anytime for all the deeds.
