This should be interesting. He has been in denial and misleading the country for the past month. He keeps saying that his administration is doing a wonderful job. He keeps saying that the coronavirus testing kits are "perfect" even though health officials are DESPERATE to get their hands on them. He lied and said that there were only 15 cases in the US and that it would be down to 0 within a week. He said that there would be a vaccine in a few months. WRONG.
The head of the CDC has been publicly giving people the truth which doesn't mesh at all with what Trump has been saying. You know who I trust with my health? People who have an understanding of science. People who are experts in the field. Trump thinks he is an expert at everything but he is WAY over his head with this issue.
I hate to listen to him because it makes me cringe but I will watch his statement just because I want to see if he still sticks with lies or if he has finally realized that this COVID-19 issue is a very serious thing.
Will you be watching?

I would not trust 1 second a government that classified most of the info about the virus to hide the danger to its population.

It's disgusting, dishonest, and dangerous. It's horrible leadership to the public they are supposed to protect - it was a delayed and slow course of action - and still is. And who does "he" still think he's fooling? Should be interesting to hear what he has to say tonight . . . I don't know if "interesting" is really the word
.

@much2say I can tell you why he does this speech. Christine Lagarde said yesterday that we were going towards a market crisis similar to 2008 if the states were not helping their economy. She knows what she speaks about, and Trump is more preoccupied by the stock market than by the health of people, so it will be about helping your great great economy.

We will watch, just to hear what ole 'Popeye' has to say. Maybe he will provide us all, with a can of spinach!

I imagine it's going to be very similar to any other speech he's given--we're going to have the biggest vaccines, the best vaccines, fix the vaccines and stop giving the kids autism, MAGA! I really have no desire to watch it live, and the transcript will be available soon enough afterwards. My money's on him doubling down and insisting that there isn't actually a problem, continuing to blatantly ignore the actual science behind it and what the experts who specialize in these things are saying. He can't handle being wrong, so he simply isn't wrong. Everyone else has the alternative facts, not Trump.
