How to write if you aren't good at explaining?

Do you have tips for making yourself better at explaining or writing? I read books, but my head seems blank when trying to write, like all those words vaporated and I end up explaining it crudely. They said my writing / explaining are childish, and I seems to write things literally, and also the transition is not smooth. How to make it better?

You should take heed of constructive advice and no notice of the destructive variety. Can I assume that English is not your first language?

I assume this is directed at me. First of all English is not my mother tongue but all my education except primary, that is 7+2+4=13 years, has been in English medium. But writing whether in English or in my mother tongue has never been my strong fort, i am more of a maths side person. I think that will satisfy you.

This forum is not for writers and intellectuals, it is for people like you and me who are scared of writing but can interact with each other. just write the way you can and everything else would be in place.

Oh dear - as a writer and intellectual I suddenly feel unwanted! Seriously, though, I would say that MyLot can appeal to a wide range of people - those who can express themselves well and those who can't. I will admit to having had lots of advantages - a good Grammar School education, followed by degree-level studies in English Literature and Philosophy, so if I can't express myself intelligibly there would be something very wrong! My advice - which is hardly original - is to read as much as you can. Good style and ability to argue a case can rub off on you.
