Some People Can't Admit When They Are Wrong

I have a friend who always defends his position in an argument. He always want to win an argument no matter what. Have you ever met such kind of people if so how do you deal with them them?

If I know they are like that, I try not to get into an argument with them.

Yes, my friends said I was this way, I had to learn to acknowledge when they made a good point.
