No Gym (and church service) for 3 weeks

Mylotters, you've guessed it! Though my water aerobics class was small this morning, my gym will be closed for three weeks, starting on Sunday night. Except for physical therapy sessions at the rehab center in the gym, which would remain open for patients, that would be it. I doubt the water therapy sessions would take place in the pools. Gym will be back in session on April 6th. My exercise will be walking in my apartment, whether it's downstairs to get mail and take out garbage/recycling, do laundry on the 5th floor, and along my hallway for chores. I'll be walking to Acme tomorrow to pick up the rest of my groceries and to my library to pick up a book. And my local church has cancelled worship services for the next three weeks too. There's been five reported cases in my state, but not in my county. So there's no walking to church and back until April 5th. Stay safe my friends! I'll be around and be more active here in the meantime.

No church should not keep you disconnected from your CREATOR, keep your HEART connected to HIM. Technology has made life easy, you can get the messages on youtube.

I'm not sure my priest would go on Youtube for video-taped services. But I would pray for sure.

The society seems to be crumbling. Or, is it gaining strength? I am sorry that your church is also feeling the effects of this virus.I guess we have to bear it, let us see where we stand three weeks from now.

It's okay. We've got modified services via video on the site. It might be closed longer after the 3-week closure order is over next month.

@KristenH Getting the food is getting tougher. It is good to have phone contact. It gives a good feeling to know that you have someone nearby you can call.

That's cool to see them on Facebook. There's videotaped meditation services and an abridged worship services with a sermon and scripture on my church's website. No Palm Sunday, Easter, or Maudy Thursday services this month.

Agreed. Most of the items I needed were out of stock. So I had to get the next best thing at the store today.

Wow! Sorry to hear that. I don't believe God has changed since corona virus has hit so I don't understand followers of Jesus cancelling/panicking or shutting down.

It's okay. My church called me last night to tell me no service tomorrow, but the other two weeks are unclear. My church has a congregation of 60-130 people. I think it would fit the criteria to close its doors (the first time in over 100 years) due to a virus.
