We all have different taste buds. And we like what we like.
Many say I have a few weird food combinations. But I like it so what does it really matter! But I do not like what is in the photo. No peanut butter and pickles for me. Not together anyway.
Here are a few I like:
Cheddar cheese & Apple pie (really good when you melt the cheese)
Ice Cream & Fries (good to dip the fries into the ice cream)
Salt & Watermelon (have done this since my childhood)
Peanut Butter, Syrup & Waffles (a few times a week)
Banana Sandwich with Peanut Butter & Mayo (don't knock it until you try it)
What about you? Do you enjoy any weird food combinations you care to share?

Food choices are so personal. And what we like is what we like. Some people might find it weird. But guess! Taste buds are personal.

I love combining different foods. Some people think it's weird but I always point out that someone must have been the first person to put cheese with onion or gravy on meat. There are some common food combinations that I consider far more weird than some of my own. My personal favourite combination is beetroot and mint sauce - on a sandwich (preferably brown bread) - invented by me as a teenager when I wanted to eat my favourite colours (purple and green). It turned out to be very nice. I'll also add things like ham or banana to that. I'll come up with some interesting meals if I'm running short on food and have to just throw in whatever I've got. I'll experiment with herbs, spice, and other flavour combinations. I have had ice-cream with fries. I've had chocolate on chips (fries) and all sorts of other things. Most of the things you have said, I would probably not try because there are ingredients I don't like. Saying that, I've liked some things when combined with other things I wouldn't normally like.

@CarolDM I agree with you. It annoys me when I get responses like 'yuck, that's disgusting' and suchlike from people who have never and would never try certain things! I'll try most things - as long as it's not still alive or looking at me, I'll probably try it!

@pumpkinjam I know, I am like don't knock it if you haven't tried it, and I like it, so leave me alone.

I don't think I enjoy any weird food combinations. I can't think of any. Alot of people are into the peanut butter and pickle thing though..This morning I saw them using barbecue chips in a sweet potato souffle..hmm..that sounds weird..but they said it was good.

I love the cheese and apple combo, but I only put mayo on my banana sandwich.

I like sweet and salty. I used to eat potato chips dipped in ice cream when I was a child. Now I hardly ever eat anything unusual.

So true we have different taste buds. It does not matter what others think. If you like certain things to be eaten together that is your business. My father used to put salt on his watermelon. I do not like watermelon. I cannot think of anything you I would consider to be weird together.

I bet cheese with apple pie is really good. I've heard of that combo. Peanut butter with waffles that one sounds intriguing I've tried bananas and peanut butter not bad (the mayo could add some flavor for sure).
As a kid I used to make sugar and butter sandwiches.

I really like trying rare foods, foods that I have never tried. But I am very orthodox about the combinations.

@CarolDM LOL. No, by no means, I didn't mean that you like rare foods. I mean, I don't like unusual combinations.
