A Good Front Man Is Needed

@TheHorse Brings up a great point. The front man is usually what makes or breaks a band. Some of them are so good they are aweful. A band like NOFX for example. Fat Mike has been flirting with disaster forever.
The band members will let you know..I love me some Melvin, if not for that guy, pretty sure curtains for NOFX. Heffy, gets tired of fat Mike's game but because Melvin is so cool,Fat Mike is allowed to pull his shenanigans. Plus, Fat Mike has a keen eye, can spot a good punk band like no other. Something to be said about that.
A band like Rancid is neat, we have no front man even though we all know its Tim Armstrong. I am sure you can ask everyone. I get that point but who is really the front man, they all would say Tim but do not count out Matt. Front men normally not scared of their other band members. I guarantee Tim Armstrong is scared of Matt Freeman. Not out of fear itself, because would break his heart if he disappointed his good buddy. Lars and the drummer, still do not know guy's name. 
Scared of them both.
That's it in a nutshell, its music, you can feel it, hear it and see it. Feel it is the first to a good front man. If you do not feel it, pretty sure band is not going to last.Why you will see such dominate personalities take a back seat sometimes. Those the true musicians and they do it for the music.

Yes, I believe a front man makes or breaks a band.
A Philippine band called, Bamboo, is a great example. As a vocalist, he is good, he delivers their songs well. Though he was not really the one who writes the lyrics of their songs. He had this vocal character and mojo. However, he is a total a**. After a few albums, they disbanded. The other members went on to make a new group but didn't flew off well.
