Yay! I got paid! My very first MyLot payment. It was just over $7 but it gave me such a sense of achievement it's unreal It sounds silly to get so excited over such a small sum but every little helps!
Do you remember your first MyLot payment? How did you feel when you received it? Please share. TIA

@ramapo17 It does, right? It's not always easy to sign in and interact, especially if you have a busy life offline.
I'm well, thanks - I hope you and yours are keeping safe and healthy as well.
I wish I could say I was planning a trip somewhere but that won't happen for a while. I want the COVID-19 dust to settle before I jump on any plane

@JudyEv Every little bit helps and always makes me happy. I haven't made anything in a long time because something, or someone, always pulls me away from the computer. Now gardening season is upon us so I will be doing a lot of outside activities going on. I hope you are well.
Any trips planned for you soon?

Wow, that's fantastic! I joined many moons ago, I think in 2013 but left within months of joining because of certain unsavoury types who appear to have now left... phew! I know, it's great that we can interact with and make friends with people from all over the world.

@porwest I know. For me and I suppose for many Indians who come here, this is exposure to different kind of thinking. We do think in a way that our elders do not approve of. Nor the society. But we cannot afford to live that way lest we be outcast. So kinda, interacting here makes us feel "normal"?

@vandana7 I'd be in that camp of no pay, no me. I like the friendships too and the interactions. But I would want to find more productive things to do with my time. We don't make a fortune here, of course. But every little bit helps, and most of the things I do are with some monetary goal in mind.

@RebeccasFarm Oh, that's quite a feat - congrats! Yes, I met you on ChatAbout, which I really liked because it was so varied. I still can't get over how we woke up one day to find it gone!

I don't just remember my first MyLot payment. I remember the first two pennies I earned! I had been at so many sites that didn't pay me. I just couldn't believe that I finally ended up at a site that was actually going to pay me.

@cmoneyspinner PostLoop was THE BEST! I miss it so much and wish it'd come back :( Or if we could at least have a similar site.
I know, surveys SUCK. And coming from you, someone who lives in a Tier 1 country, it just reinforces the fact that they really are bad If HubPages works for you, you'd best stick with it - there's hardly anything decent out there, sadly :(

@Lushlala - I was at PostLoop. I loved it!
I can't stand the surveys. I'm not sure but I think HUBPages is considered a content mill site and that's the only one that works for me.

@hillhjill That's exactly it! There's just too many scams out there at the moment.

I love to reach my own personal goal each month here. It is not the money, but the amount of friends with whom I interact

@marguicha That is a good way of doing it. When I first started I made a list of all the people I met here but that was years ago and I don't know what I did with my book. We have moved a few times and they are probably still in a box somewhere
