Ever heard of the delicious seedless Cara Cara oranges? I just recently discovered them at Publix.
They are seedless, not as much acid as a naval orange, a sweet taste and the inside actually looks like grapefruit. It is darker than a regular orange.
If you can find them I would recommend giving them a try. I was told by the produce manager they are only available usually between December and April.
This unique variety of oranges has been gaining popularity. But if you want to catch them, get to the market now; they’re only in season for a short time.

They sound and look delicious! I haven't heard of those before, but I love every kind of citrus.

When I saw your photo, my first thought was that they looked very similar to blood oranges!
I actually went to Publix this morning to buy some oranges and bananas to take to paintball practice, but the entire produce section was bare! There wasn't a single thing on any of the shelves. I managed to grab one of five cartons of orange juice that was still left in the cooler.

@CarolDM I noticed the shelves that contain all the fresh foods were wiped out...produce, dairy, meat, etc. There were plenty of canned and boxed items still on the shelves. Just the fresh and/or frozen foods seemed to be in short supply.

They sound good. I really liked the sugar kissed melons they had there last year. They were delicious!

Interesting! I would love to try some because I know a certain kind of orange hurts my stomach, I don't remember what kind but since it is less acidic I wonder if it would be more gentle.

My husband is bothered by the acid; so this is a good recommendation. Thanks!
