Diseases Wars Negative People Cults - Religious or otherwise .... and a lot more This world is not safe at all, there are real dangers. At the same time, there is another side to it, and I guess that generally that is what we all want for ourselves

I like to think that this world is what we make it. In times like we are experiencing, we can choose to sit at home and be afraid. Or we can experience life while at the same time protecting ourselves to the best of our ability. Let's face the reality, no one can be 100 percent safe at any time. Right now it is the coronavirus that we have to be concerned about, Three months ago, it was whether the climate changes would destroy our world before we could make enough changes to mitigate the damage. Before that, the divisiveness that is still prevalent in our society, (at least here in America) has been and is threatening to destroy our world. And even if we manage to resolve all that to the benefit of all, we could step outside and be struck by a car, or have a tree fall on us, or find ourselves a victim of a sensless terrorist attack. Yes, there are lots of dangers, no matter which way we look. As for me, I believe it is best to live our lives the best we can and try to do the best for this world that we can. There are no guarantees except that someday we will no longer be here. Enjoy what you have while you can.

I appreciate you sharing your views. That's right. We need a little calm. My world is sometimes noisy not just outside but also inside. But I am okay now.

@cperry2 Good to hear that things are okay. Here where I am the social distancing in some stores is strict, at least here in my town maybe because the store is also small and enclosed. So what the store or maybe what the local government asked them to do was to let the customers queue outside while they let one or few customers finish their shopping inside, and after that customer goes out of the store that is the only time the next customer can come in.,

@judithml We are doing well for now. We went shopping early this morning to avoid the crowds that tend to show up later. Well, lots of others decided to do the same. It was a little better but not very much. The funny thing (or sad) that I noticed is that while the customers were all attempting to honor the social distancing, the employees of the store were not so concerned about it. Oh, well, we do what we can to protect our selves and live our lives.

When I just had read the title of this discussion I was thinking that it seems we have to protect ourselves from almost everything anymore!

@dfollin I have to agree with that. Of course we dont want to add to the panic. But sometimes when you hear and read the news, and get to see other people's perspective of the bad things happening in some places, it is just concerning. Thought I can rest given the lockdown, but when I check my FB feeds I can't rest

Sorry if it sounded so negative. At the time I wrote this, I was both afraid and a little lost.

Yes, we are on a 1 month slow down. A lot of things has quieted down which is good, although on the flipside that is because we are trying to keep ourselves away from the Covid. I enjoy the downtime though, I only hope things do not get worse outside.

@florelway That's right. So far we have already lost 9 doctors here in our country and we only have less than 1000 cases.

I believe you meant we need to protect ourselves from the entire human race and their contaminants. Good luck with that there is an infestation.
