Resolution number seven is to finish reading this psychology text that I started reading two years ago when I was helping my student with a college Psych class. It seems like reading a book would be easy-peasy, but the problem here is that I get sleepy nowadays when I read, so it's a bit challenging to read more than a handful of pages at a time. Adding to that, there is so much information crammed into each page that I feel I need a bit of time to digest the concepts, so I don't go zooming right through them. Now, the book, isn't boring--it's very well-written, and it's a subject that's always been fascinating to me, so I will hang in there and read it. I only have to read chapters 8-17 plus the epilogue, but every single chapter has about forty pages, and coupled with the above-mentioned challenges, I have my work cut out for me. Imagine if you had that psychology class and the professor wanted you to read a chapter, or maybe two, every single week, on top of whatever you are doing with your other classes! Phew. And what if you were also trying to work a full-time job? I do have a full-time job, so it's a good thing I've given myself the rest of the year for this.

I wonder how you'd go reading it standing up? Vince goes to sleep too as soon as he starts reading.

That is actually a very good idea. Since I have to work from home, I am getting some reading done, and this morning, I read some papers while walking in place to get some activity. Not sure I could hold that big book up, but I might be able to read a page here and there while at my desk.

@AliCanary If I choose my book, I can read while walking on the treadmill. I get really bored just walking so being able to read is a good solution.

I have to admit, sometimes I do appreciate the effect when I am suffering from insomnia, which is fairly often.

Make a smaller goal of 5-10 pages a day. You can do this.

LOL, I'm very lucky if I can get through two before I nod off. However, it's there for me if I have insomnia, which does happen frequently!
