Buses are almost empty!

Good afternoon. The decisions made by our government surprised me positively.
It is forbidden for people over 65 to go out because of the virus. No one should go outside after 8pm. That's why most of the shops, cafes and restaurants work until 6 pm. I hope these decisions will protect many people.
I went to see my father today. I need to buy him some medicines.
When I went this morning the buses were almost empty. I arrived quickly. There are less vehicles on the streets than usual. Have your government made any decision because of the Coronavirus?

@Moon24 This didn't hit me, I can't remember the last time I took the bus, but I know how much some people need it

The same decisions were made here, too and they will be effective starting from tomorrow. It is a good sign that buses are empty, because it means people started obeying the measures.

@Moon24 Here, there are not so many restrictions, it seems. Here, buses work, as far as I know, and people are not allowed to go outside after 22:00

Yes, we are in total lockdown since Tuesday. So technically no one is allowed to go out unless necessary and if you want to go out make sure you have your home quarantine pass with you and check the reason why you need to go out. They have been very strict and it's for the best. We cannot risk anyone's lives.

People over 65 are not allowed to use public transportation at the moment, but they can still go out. Other people can use public transportation, but they have to sit far apart from other eachother and busses and trains have many, many empty seats. They strongly encourage people to stay inside unless they have to buy food or medicine. Groups that consist of more than 10 people are not allowed inside buidings or outside, and people who ignore that have to pay a fine.

The buses aren't running here. Many stores and businesses are closed down. Traffic is super light.

Yes. Social distancing has been imposed. That is a one meter distance among the people while in the public places even inside the transportation.
