Anti-Social, Quarantined... No Difference To Me

I don't know about you guys, but this whole quarantine, social isolation, corona virus situation, is actually working in my favor. An anti-socialist utopia! It's fair to say that the word "quarantine" describes me and my social life fairly acccurate. I'm not going crazy with cabin fever. I'm not longing for live social interaction. People stay away from me. No one talks to me. I'm free to move along with no interference. So far the only negatives i'm experiencing is starbucks not allowing people to gather inside, just drive thru or mobile pick up allowed. The other negative is the shortage of eggs, I wanted to make an upside down pineapple cake. I'm basically just going about my days as I normally would. Hope you're all doing and maintaining well during this troubled time. Photograph- Taken/Owned by me, Plethos

Well a party we were going to have is now cancelled do to restaurants being closed..Not a fun thing, even my dentist appointment has been cancelled. I haven't looked for eggs, but fresh meat is certainly in short supply..Thanks hoarders!

I'm not really going nuts, either. I've never been a big social butterfly myself--I just miss being able to go to church. I have plenty to read or cross-stitching or writing to do--and there's certainly always dishes or laundry to be washed !

No problems with eggs here.... I just made an 18 egg omelet... with green peppers, onions, sausage, ham and potatoes. YUM! (It will take me several days to eat all of it but still.... YUM!)

eggs are starting to show up on the shelves with more frequency now. hand sanitizer is also starting to show up. toilet paper is still a bit of a rare item to find.

@Plethos I love being a loner. I'm peaceful, quiet, and very comfortable, with an introverted personality!

May I say me too? I am glad my househelp has taken off. And my job works are temporarily on hold. So kinda, I am getting down to cleaning. My househelp is an old woman. She tries, but is not able to do the kind of work I would appreciate. To top it all, my father is a hoarder. So she does have valid reason to not manage to do much because he obstructs and objects. Now, with her out of picture, I am back to cleaning. I like cleaning and settling more than cooking.

We had to cancel a trip to London to visit our son earlier this week. Other than that our everyday lives haven't changed much.

@Plethos Definitely. I think the only thing I'll really miss if it has to close is the library.

im beginning to think that this hurts the people who love to socialize a lot. the clubbers, the party goers, the committee members and so on.

Nothing much as changed for us either. Someone said there are no eggs in our stores. I can't understand that. You can't really freeze eggs, not without a great deal of trouble.

@Plethos Pickled is pretty awful, isn't it? To freeze them, I think they are best if beaten a bit first.

same here. if we can live through the sars/swine flu from about 10 (?) years ago, then im confident we'll get through this one.
