As what is said that the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions will be more in trouble by NCOVID-19 made me scared. I was diagnosed with a form of Arrythmia and Generalized Anxiety Disorder before and I really had a hard time sleeping, worrying and overthinking!
Lots of questions lingering in my head about the many uncertainties of this situation as the rest of world is. How long will it last? Can the government handle this? What will happen tomorrow? What if we all die?
I knew I had to strengthen my immune system - I had to sleep early. Any form of aches in my body got me overthinking that I have this virus. Then Anxiety creeps in, I knew if I get anxious I will weaken my body. So I was anxious being anxious plus the fact that not getting enough sleep will trigger my palpitations.
That night I was in the cusp of totally flying in my "scary world." But gravity :D pulled me back to reality and practicality that no amount of my worry can help improve this pandemic and add a single hour to my life. I resolved to read a book to distract my mind which what I did before and fell asleep.
My realizations whenever I had attacks of Anxiety were this will pass as the Earth is moving :) and nothing stays the same. There will always be someone who's going through a more difficult situation that I have and that inspires me to be strong and pray and think of others. Beyond this, God is in control.
Have you ever been in this situation, how did you get through?

This pandemic is scary for all of us, not just those with severe anxiety. We're all in this together...the brave, the scared; the young, the old; the rich, the poor. So take refuge in knowing you are not alone during this entire ordeal. Just think positive, and know that humanity will come together as one to defeat this virus. In the end, we will all be better, stronger, happier. It is showing us what is truly important in life, and that is the strength of our communities, the bond with our families, the relationships with our friends. Take each day step by step, and control those things you can control. And all those things we can't control, hand those burdens over to God. He will take care of his people.

@summerscent There will always be bumps in the road on the journey of life. But the secret is not to focus on the bumps in the road, but on the beauty of everything else alongside the road of life. Life can be a beautiful journey if we let it.
