Ants in the Pants

My dad cannot sit still. Some people have to be doing something, and I think it stems from a couple of things, one being he always was doing something as a child. If they weren't at school, he and his siblings were working their rears off at home, or working for the neighbors. So I knew he'd find something useful to do. He is bringing supplies to people who can't get out of are afraid to get out. He's being careful, of course. He's 64 with a great immune system, but he's being smart. He even went to get a car that one of my cousins totaled so it could be fixed; it was a five hour drive, one way! I don't think he feels right of he isn't helping. His wife accompanies him on the local deliveries, but he doesn't want to tire her out with long drives. Is the self isolation getting to people you know? Is it tough on YOU?

It is not a lot different with me. I spend all my time in my room except for going to the bathroom . most times no one but my doctor comes once a month in here and my aise once a week for 2 hrs. and the kids bring me food and water and run back out. I used to be one of those people like your dad but had to get used to this 5 yrs ago.

Well, I am a homebody--so It's not too bad--but there are still places I would like to be able to go. LOL--your title made me think of this You Tube song I used to listen to with my nephew...

I had never heard that before. I'm definitely going to teach my niece that song; it's great, thanks!

I have things to do here, and will possibly make some things for our missions circle from church.Tomorrow I have a video conference to talk about what we will do for our handicapped kids. I seldom am bored.

I have not had to self isolate as I have not had any signs or symptoms, and luckily neither has any of my family. I only go out to the shops and back and I work from home so it is not too bad in that respect. The toughest thing for me has been seeing the shops all bare and not being able to get the things that I have needed, I think that affected me more than anything.

That's great he can be helpful. I know it makes him feel useful. It isn't tough yet, but it soon will be. Not going anywhere or have anywhere to go will get old real soon.

I’m not self isolating as my job is considered essential. Helping and caring for others sounds like it’s in your Dad’s DNA.

We have been asked to stay inside unless we need to go buy food and we are listening and respecting. I am fine staying at home, at most I go out and work a bit in my garden.

As long as your dad is taking precautions I think it's great he's out there helping.

No one likes the idea of being in prison or living in a government police state.
